So I was talking to a friend yesterday and we were giving each other our list of things we have had to do this week. I found myself saying, " I had to take dinner to this family. I have to get this ready for the Blue & Gold. I have to...: You get the picture. LOL!
Here is the thing I didn't HAVE to I CHOSE to. I did catch myself. We had a little laugh but it really stuck with me. If I choose to say yes to a calling, or an assignment, or if I volunteer to do something well then I need to realize that. I choose to serve, SO I should do it with a happy heart not grumbling the whole time.
I choose to be a den leader, a provident living coordinator, a school volunteer, a mom, a wife, and a friend.
On a deeper note: As a spirit child of my Heavenly Father I chose to come to this earth gain a body and try my hardest to make it back to live in his presence. Of all my choices I am most happy about this one!

Okay so it was more like a revelation.
Cody has this OBSESSION with hats (stocking caps) and gloves. He calls them his SUPER HELPERS. ( I will get some pictures soon of his little get-ups.) Now this is cute but also INCREDIBLY frustrating because I spend a LARGE portion of my day putting on his little gloves. This strikes at the most inconvenient times. Such as I'm in the shower, washing dishes, cooking, trying to eat MY food, and well some others I will not share. ;)
So as I looked at him two minuets ago and yet again put on his gloves a VERY powerful thought hit me. How many times a day does our Heavenly Father do the same thing for us? Okay so maybe not gloves and hat but our own super helpers. How many times do we ask for the same thing over, and over, and over?
The difference? Cody can now put on his own hat, and one glove. Am I doing my part to help my Heavenly Father help me or did I lay it all in his lap?
